from april 21st to 22nd, the first working group meeting of 2011 was held in xi’an, on which the groups discussed the new research plan for 2011 based on the conclusion of the previous meeting.

wg1&2 discussed the methods of analyzing service and network requirements based on the user experiences which was input by china mobile and also the feasibilities of transferring the research focus into mobile internet. wg3 received positive feedbacks from relative departments since they submitted “suggestions from future forum on the r&d of wireless mobile communication spectrum” to srrc. wg3 will be focusing the preparation work for wrc-12 and draft relative suggestions for some relative departments as references. the draft has been completed and will be further discussed and improved.

bwa group, based on sub-subject on the technical regulations and performance assessment of uwb equipment in the major special project on the r&d and industrialization of short-range wireless connection and wireless sensor networks, stressing the research on features and assessing models of indoor uwb channels, collecting and analyzing the measure data of wireless channels by confirming testing schemes and setting up effective environment for channel testing, in order to lay a sound foundation for the research on performance assessment of uwb equipment and the draft of technical testing regulations.

the ubiquitous and heterogeneous networks are still the research stresses for wg6. wg4 and wg5, with a great amount accumulation of the research on key technologies and system design, have formed a mature discussion mechanism and are exploring new subjects in the future research.
