june 13th of 2013, the eigth council meeting and general assembly of future forum was held at beijing xiyuan hotel, which was presided by wu hequan, chairman of future forum and the academician of chinese academy of engineering and attended by 44 representatives from 22 council members and 6 forum members.

entrusted by the council, professor you xiaohu, vice chairman and secretary-general of future forum, made the report on the future forum's work summary of 2012 and the working plan for 2013. chairs of wg1-6 and bwa introduced the research results and the progresses of all the working groups. mr. hu nan, chair of wg1, especially introduced “the future hit white paper”. and ms. wang wei, vice chair of wg3, introduced “the future forum’s suggestions and viewpoints report on wrc15”.

representatives voted for the two new members: xi’an jiaotong university and national digital switching system engineering and technological research center, who had applied to join future forum in 2013. over 2/3 of the representatives accepted them, and the council issued membership certificates to the two new comers.

representatives from the council members and the forum members affirmed the work done in the previous year and gave some suggestions and advice for the coming year, and approving the working report of 2012 and working plan for 2013.
