the fourth working group meeting ogf 2012 was held in hebei from january 9 to 10, attende by nearly 30 experts from the members. the discussion was mainly focused on lte tdd technologies, mimo channel compression, switching technologies in multi-carrier environment, and relay on-site testing. wg3 began to consider the concrete suggestions for wrc-15. wg6 discussed the novel grid communication structure and concrete applications. wg1&2 and bwa put their emphasis on the work plan for 2013.

on january 11, future forum cooperated with tsinghua university to hold the seminar on future communication technologies and visit to tsinghua national laboratory for information science and technology. prof. zhou shidong and prof. zhao ming from tsinghua university respectively introduced the progress on the r&d of high-band mobile communication networking technologies, and reviewed the development of distributed wireless communication system during the past decade. mr. fu xiao, chair of wg6 was invited to introduce light radio products and relative applications. after the seminar, prof. su xin, vice-director of tsinghua national laboratory for information science and technology showed all the experts around their lab, introducing the latest results and progresses. the experts were also invited to visit tsinghua digital tv center, learning the national standardization and industrialization of digital tv, and visit tsinghua track traffic center, learning the situation of the research on the integrated testing platform for the high-speed railway control system in china.
