the 2nd working group meeting of 2011 was held in shangrila from july 28th to 29th.

wg1&2 discussed two contribution papers on requirements for mobile terminal/handset security and pushes of mobile technologies, and the paper on mobile internet is specially concerned within the group.

the paper from motorola on the latest progresses of american public mobile broadband lte system, covering frequency, technologies, interoperability, and operation mode, was heatedly discussed in wg3 and bwa group.

in addition, wg3 was also discussing frequency sharing authorized by the operators, and closely following the relative decision by cept ecc on the allocation of 3.4-3.6ghz band. wg4 focused on the design and calibration of tdd mu-mimo antenna and precoding designs for amplify-and-forward cellular multiuser two-way relay systems. wg5 discussed the relay performance in the actual networks. expert from ericsson introduced td-lte testing bed developed in 2010 and the progresses on outfield trials. in wg6, experts from tsinghua university introduced the sub-project on wireless innovative campus area networks which is part of the national special major project on the next generation broadband wireless mobile communication networks. the wican platform attracted high interest from the members.
